Scatec solar plans power plants in south-east Asia

Scatec Solar, a Norway-based company, has announced plans to build solar power plants in Vietnam, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Reportedly, the company is negotiating a 50 MW project in Vietnam. In addition, Scatec is awaiting approval for a 50 MW farm in Bangladesh, and has submitted a proposal for a 70 MW project in Myanmar. Currently, Scatec produces electricity from 322 MW of solar power plants in the Czech Republic, South Africa, Rwanda, Honduras and Jordan, and has about 394 MW of capacity under construction with 1.5 GW in the pipeline.
