YES Bank has partnered with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to formulate a renewable energy financing programme for India. EIB will provide $200 million as a 15-year loan and the remaining $200 million will be contributed by YES Bank and other financial institutions. The programme aims to streamline financing for renewable energy projects that are built and operated by Indian corporations and private sector developers. Eligible solar projects have already been identified in Rajasthan, Telangana, Maharashtra and Karnataka, and additional wind and solar projects are being examined.
