Tariff of Rs 2.43 per kWh quoted in GUVNL’s 500 MW wind auction

Sprng Energy and K.P. Energy have quoted a tariff of Rs 2.43 per kWh in Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited’s (GUVNL) 500 MW wind auction in Gujarat. While Sprng Energy bid for 197.5 MW of capacity, K.P. Energy bid for 30 MW. Three other companies, Verdant Renewables (100 MW), Betam Wind Energy (29.9 MW) and Powerica (50 MW), quoted a tariff of Rs 2.44 per kWh. A total of 12 companies participated in the final round of the auction and bid at tariffs lower than Rs 3 per kWh. The final capacities awarded to the winners will be revealed at a later date.
