LONGito to set up new 5GW module assembly plant in China

LONGi Green Energy Technology, a module manufacturing company, has signed a project investment agreement with the local authorities in Chuzhou City, Anhui province, China, for setting up a 5 GW module assembly plant. The plant would be established in the Chuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone and will require investments worth approximately $300 million. The module assembly plant will be operated by LONGi’s solar cell and module assembly subsidiary, LONGi Solar. According to the company, the construction could take up to 28 months. However, no specific project commencement date has been decided so far.
