Bangladesh tenders 7.6 MW grid-connected solar project

Bangladesh’s North-West Power Generation Company Limited has issued a global engineering, construction and procurement tender for the development of a 7.6 MW grid-connected solar project in Soydabad, near Dhaka. The project completion time frame is one year from the date of issue of the letter of award. The tender is part of Bangladesh’s efforts to increase its solar capacity for meeting its domestic energy requirement. Recently, the Bangladesh Power Development Board has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Teesta Solar Limited for 200 MW of solar power.
