SECI tenders 275 MW of solar capacity in Uttar Pradesh

SECI has rolled out tenders for 275 MW of grid-connected solar capacity to be installed near Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, under NSM Phase II Batch IV. The projects will be developed on a BOO basis and a single bidder can bid for the entire or a part of the capacity. SECI will enter into 25-year PPAs with the developers and a power sale agreement (PSA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited. The upper tariff ceiling has been fixed at Rs 3.43 per kWh and the plants must be commissioned within 12 months from the date of signing the PPA. The solar power will be exclusively supplied to Varanasi.
