SECI has invited expressions of interest (EoIs) from project developers to set up 10 GW of floating solar power plants. The projects are planned to be set up in phases over the next three years. Moreover, SECI intends to collect information on prospective developers and the feasibility of floating solar plants in the Indian market to assess the suitable auctioning capacity in the future. Solar power offtake through long-term PPAs has been assured to developers.
