TNB set to build 30 MW solar farm in Malaysia

Malaysian power utility Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has won a contract to build a 30 MW solar plant in Kedah state. The solar farm will be eligible for net metering schemes. The utility won the project in a competitive bidding process conducted by Malaysia’s Energy Commission. The plant will be financed by Malaysia Building Society Berhad through an Islamic financing arrangement and will be built by the Solar Management before November 2018.
