Slovakian government allocated funds for Green Houses Program

The Government of Slovakia has allocated Euro 13 million in funds as part of the incentive scheme for residential renewable energy systems called the Green Houses Program. According to the Slovak Association of Photovoltaic Industry, two separate windows for project applications will be opened in 2018, with the first round beginning somewhere between January and February 2018. Launched in late 2015, the programme is run by the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency and grants incentives for the installation of solar water heaters, PV systems up to 10 kW, heat pumps and small windmills. It has enabled development in the Slovak PV sector after the FiT scheme for solar was discontinued in 2011.
