The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a request for selection document for setting up 2 GW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power projects (Tranche III). A single bidder is eligible to bid for 50-400 MW of capacity. The wind power plants and their associated transmission network will be developed on a build-own-operate basis and the power purchase agreement (PPA) and power sale agreement (PSA) will be signed for 25 years. In addition, SECI has fixed a project completion time frame of 18 months from the date of issuance of the letter of award. The bid submission deadline is January 16, 2018.
