Karnataka tenders 860 MW of solar capacity

Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited issued a request for proposal for tendering 860 MW of solar capacity. The capacity has been divided among 43 talukas, with 20 MW allocated to each. The minimum capacity allowed for bidding is 3 MW whereas the maximum is 20 MW. Meanwhile, 10 talukas (with a combined capacity of 200 MW) are reserved for module manufacturers in Karnataka. The bid submission deadline is January 8, 2018.
