Goa cabinet approves state’s solar policy

The Goa cabinet has approved the Solar Power Policy, under which the state plans to install 150 MW of solar generation capacity by 2021. The policy will become functional by March 2018. Under the policy, residential societies, generating less than 100 kW of power, would be compensated by the government as per the gross metering rates. Systems producing 100 kW or more will come under net metering.
