Fortum to buy 35 MW of solar power capacity in Russia

Finnish power utility Fortum has acquired 35 MW of combined solar power capacity in Russia from Russian solar module maker and project developer Hevel Solar. While the Pleshanovskaya (10 MW) and Grachevskaya (10 MW) plants are located in Orenburg, the Bugulchanskaya (15 MW) solar plant is in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The projects were commissioned in 2016-17 and will receive a guaranteed capacity payment for a period of 15 years under the Russian government’s capacity supply agreement.
