SECI tenders 100 MW worth wind power projects

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a 100 MW wind project tender for central public sector enterprises. The projects, which will be connected to the interstate transmission system, will be developed on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis and the power generated will be purchased by SECI at a tariff of Rs 2.64 per kWh for a period of 25 years. The tender includes construction of the wind project as well as the transmission network up to the grid connection point. For each wind power project, developers can bid for a maximum and minimum of 100 MW and 50 MW capacities, respectively.
