Tata Motors has won a bid to supply 10,000 electric vehicles (EVs) to EESL to cater to government departments and agencies. Under the contract, Tata Motors will supply the EVs in two phases. Under the first phase, 500 EVs will be delivered in November 2017, and under the second phase, the remaining 9,500 EVs will be delivered. The vehicles will be provided at a cost of Rs 1.012 million per unit inclusive of goods and services tax with a five-year warranty.
