Siemens Gamesa has secured an order from the Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute for supplying 34 MW of wind turbines in China. The order consists of 13 G114-2.625 MW turbines at the Hubei Energy Lichuan Zhonghao wind farm located in Lichuan Qiyueshan, Hubei. Siemens Gamesa has also secured another order for 95 MW at the Sorfjord Vindpark onshore wind power plant in northern Norway. This order consists of 23 units of their onshore direct drive Optimaflex wind turbines that feature a rated capacity of 4.2 MW and a 130 metre rotor diameter. A five-year service and maintenance agreement is included in both the projects. Delivery for the 34 MW project in China has already started, with the commissioning of the facility scheduled for December 2017. The installation process for the Norway project will start in the second quarter of 2019 and be completed by the third quarter of the same year.
