Azure to develop 1.3 MW of rooftop solar for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare

Azure Roof Power has won a tender to develop 1.3 MW of rooftop solar for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India, in an auction conducted by the NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN). As mandated by NVVN, the company will use solar modules that are made in India. The PPA will be signed for 25 years and the projects will be set up at the ministry’s facilities in Delhi, Puducherry, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Assam. The tariff will be in the range of Rs 3.19 per kWh to Rs 4.11 per kWh depending on the project location. Moreover, Azure Power will receive a capital incentive resulting in a weighted average levellised tariff of Rs 5.29 per kWh.
