A 500 MW solar tender in Gujarat receives lowest tariff of Rs 2.65 per unit

The lowest tariff discovered under the 500 MW solar power capacity auction in Gujarat is Rs 2.65 per kWh for a 90 MW project by Chennai-based GRT Jewellers India. Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited and the Gujarat Industries Power Company quoted the second and third lowest tariffs of Rs 2.66 per kWh and Rs 2.67 per kWh respectively for 75 MW each. The remaining 260 MW of capacity has been won by Azure Power at a bid of Rs 2.67 per kWh.
