Japan-based Pacifico Energy has started building a 42 MW solar project at Iwaki in Japan. The modules for the project are being supplied by China’s Trina Solar, while Japan-based Toyo Engineering will provide the EPC facility. The project, which is spread across an area of 50 hectares, is expected to generate about 48 GWh of electricity per year following its completion in August 2019. The entire electricity generated will be sold to regional utility Tohoku Electric Power.
