EBRD and Proparco agress to finance 50 MW solar projects in Egypt

French financial institution Proparco and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) are financing the installation of two 50 MW solar projects to be developed at the Benban solar park located in Aswan province, Egypt. The EBRD and Proparco will each provide $58 million for the construction and operation of the projects, which are a part of the 1.8 GW Benban solar park. They were tendered on a build-own-operate basis to EREN Renewable Energy and Access Power.
