France-based Ciel et Terre is building a 2.55 MW floating PV system on a pond in Tsu, Japan. China-based Jinko Solar will supply the PV modules, while Spain-based manufacturer Power Electronics Espana SL will provide inverters. The EPC contract for the project has been handed over to Super Tool ECO Company Limited. The electricity generated from the plant will be sold to Nagoya-based utility Chubu Electric Power for a period of 20 years at $0.22 per kWh.
