IDFC Alternatives raises Rs 2.5 billion

IDFC Alternatives has successfully raised Rs 2.5 billion (approximately $39 million) through its India Infrastructure Fund II by selling non-convertible debentures to infrastructure debt funds and financial institutions. The fund will be used to repay the company’s existing debts and to refinance two solar projects recently acquired from Punj Lloyd in Punjab.
