The Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (TSNPDCL) and Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (TSSPDCL) have filed a petition with the Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission (TSERC) for levying an additional surcharge of Rs 1.95 per kVAh for open access consumers for 2017-18. The discoms believe that this will help them recover fixed costs and prevent the negative impact on other customers. Stakeholders can comment, object and provide suggestions till September 6, 2017.
