25 charging stations for Electric Vehicles installed in Bengaluru 

In a pilot project carried out under the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India (FAME-India) scheme, 25 charging stations have been installed at six locations across Bengaluru. The electric vehicle charging stations have been installed by Mahindra REVA Electric Vehicles. Besides, the government has sanctioned five proposals for charging infrastructure under the FAME-India scheme. These include Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited’s (BHEL) and Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited’s (REIL) proposals for setting up 50 charging stations each in Delhi NCR; REIL’s proposal for setting up 200 charging stations across Delhi, Jaipur and Chandigarh; the consortium of Mahindra-Reva-Ola-Asia Electric’s proposal to provide 75 AC smart chargers in Delhi NCR; and Lithium Urban Technologies’ proposal for setting up 60 charging stations in Delhi NCR.
