Hong Kong-based Hanergy Thin Film Power Group Limited has released a new thin-film solar panel called “Hantile” in Beijing. The panel is made of flexible thin-film solar chips with roofing material, laminated packaging technology and efficient copper indium gallium selenide solar cells, claimed to maximise the solar conversion rate along with architectural aesthetics.
The Hantile solar panels perform better than traditional panels in terms of thermal insulation, heat preservation, fire prevention, infiltration prevention and hail prevention. Its most distinguishing feature is its special waterproof design, which includes glass material, U-type weather bar and F-type slot. In terms of structure, this product has a perfect windproof and lightning protection design. Moreover, it generates power at temperatures ranging from -40 ºC to 85 ºC.
