GE to invest $388.6 million on solar energy projects in Japan

GE Energy Financial Services (GE EFS), the energy investing unit of General Electric, has set up a $388.6 million solar energy fund in Japan to invest in solar projects in the country. The Development Bank of Japan has committed itself as the anchor investor of the fund for one third of the interests. By the third quarter of 2017, GE EFS is expected to raise more money, adding up to $668.5 million to the fund. Overall, the fund can be increased up to $804 million in the near future.
