First Solar awarded 241MW module supply contract for Edify Energy Solar Projects in Australia

US-based panel manufacturer First Solar has won a contract to supply solar modules totalling 241 MW for solar projects being developed by Edify Energy in Australia. According to a company release, RCR Tomlinson, the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for Edify Energy, has tendered 180.7 MW at Daydream and 60.2 MW at Hayman in Queensland, Australia. With this contract, First Solar now has a supply pipeline of over 500 MW in Australia. Construction on the projects is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2017, with module delivery expected in the fourth quarter of 2017 and the first quarter of 2018.
