Spain-based wind turbine manufacturer Siemens has received an order from DISA, a distributor of energy products in the Canary Islands, to build a 23.1 MW wind farm on the island of Tenerife under a turnkey arrangement. The order comprises the installation of 11 units of G114-2.1 MW turbines at the Bermejo and Vera de Abote wind farms located in Arico, a town in Tenerife. The construction of the wind farm is under way and the delivery of the turbines will begin by end-2017. The project is scheduled to be commissioned by 2018.
