The funding is provided through the GET FiT programme, which is designed to assist the Zambian government in promoting the diversification of the power sector. The programme encapsulates functions like tariff support, grid integration for some projects and other technical assistance. It will also provide aid for the development of 200 MW renewable energy projects in the next five to seven years, including 50 MW of solar PV projects.
