United States to provide $ 7.5 million for enhancement of India’s power grid

The US is planning to provide $7.5 million to India through its Department of Energy to improve the national grid. This would be a five-year joint initiative with India under the Partnership to Advance Clean Energy programme. The research, development and deployment in new smart grid and energy storage technologies will modernise the grids of both the countries and thus increase the resilience and reliability of the grids.
