MMRCL retenders 14 MW of rooftop solar and ground mounted capacity

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) has retendered 14 MW of solar capacity, both rooftop and ground-mounted, to be installed on 37 stations and other premises owned by Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation (NMRCL) based on the RESCO model. As per the tender regulations, the size of each project can range from 100 kW to 500 kW or more. These projects will be installed on rooftops, depots, boundary walls and track walls, which will be separately connected with the grid and will have separate energy meters. Further, MMRCL has fixed Rs 6 per kWh as the upper levellised tariff limit for this tender. The project will be funded by the central government in collaboration with the Maharashtra government on equity basis. In addition, it will receive bilateral funding from KfW (Germany) and AFD (France). The last date for bid submission is July 15, 2017.
