Central Railways tenders 1 MW rooftop solar in Mumbai

The Central Railways has launched a tender for 1 MW rooftop solar project at the Central Railways carriage workshop at Matunga in Mumbai. The generated solar power will be utilised solely by railways through net metering system. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 80 million and the successful bidder will enter a PPA with the Central Railways for a 25-year period. The last date for bid submission was July 3, 2017 but the results are yet to be announced.
