The Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA) has tendered 100 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects to be developed across the state. Of this, 60 MW will be developed under the capex model – 42 MW under the domestic content requirement (DCR) category and 18 MW under the open category. The remaining 40 MW will be developed under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model – 28 MW under the DCR category and 12 MW under the open category. TEDA will provide 30 per cent central financial assistance for projects developed under the capex model. Under the RESCO model, it will provide a fixed subsidy of Rs 19.5 per watt for projects ranging from 26 kW to 100 kW, and Rs 18 per watt for projects with capacities more than 100 kW and up to 500 kW. For projects set up in government institutions, achievement-linked incentives will be provided under both the capex and RESCO models. The bid submission deadline is June 21, 2017.
