TEDA emerges as the sole bidder under TANGEDCO’s solar tender

The Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA) has bid for 50 MW of solar capacity in the 500 MW tender floated by the state’s discom, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO), due to insufficient interest from other players. TEDA had quoted a tariff of Rs 4.44 per kWh. It was, however, asked to revise it to Rs 4.40 per kWh by TANGEDCO. The tender is likely to be delayed by a few months due to the upcoming elections in the state.
