Senvion wins major contract in the UK with Banks Renewables

Germany-based Senvion has received contracts from Banks Renewables for the supply and installation of 47 turbines for three wind farm projects totalling 151 MW. It has also signed 20-year operations and maintenance (O&M) contracts for all the three projects. The first contract is for the 88 MW Kype Muir wind farm located in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, for which Senvion will supply 26 units of its 3.4M104 turbines. The wind farm is expected to be operational by early 2019. The second contract is for the 51 MW Middle Muir wind farm, which is also located in South Lanarkshire. The company will supply 15 units of 3.4M114 turbines, eight at 79 metre hub height and seven at 93 metre hub height. The wind farm is likely to be operational by 2018. The third contract is for the 12 MW Moor House wind farm, which is located near Darlington in northeast England. Senvion will supply six units of MM100 turbines for the project. The delivery of turbines is expected by August 2017 and commissioning by early 2018.
