As part of its clean energy initiatives, the Indian Navy has installed 18 light weight flexible panels of 300 Watt each on its survey vessel, Sarvekshak. The power generated from the solar system, which has a battery backup, can be used for communication equipment, battery charging as well as general lighting onboard.
