Private equity fund, Actis Capital has raised nearly $2.75 billion of funds and the company has reserved about $500 million for investing in solar and wind projects in India. Actis Capital had recently acquired Solairedirect India from French utility, Engie. Another key investment of the fund in India includes Ostro Energy, which has won 250 MW of capacity in the recently concluded auctions for wind power projects. Actis plans to build a 2 GW solar power portfolio.
