Cochin International Airport has commissioned 6 MW of solar projects. These include a 3 MW project on the hangar premises, a 2 MW project on the southern side of the airport complex and 1 MW at the carport. Along with the previous solar projects aggregating 15.5 MW, the airport now has a total solar capacity of 21.5 MW, part of which is used to meet its captive energy requirements.
