Canadian Solar has signed 25-year PPAs with SECI for 80 MW (AC) solar power projects in Maharashtra. The company was originally awarded the projects through competitive bidding for 450 MW (AC) capacity. The benchmark tariff was set at Rs 4.43 per kWh and the company bid for the VGF support of Rs 1.99 million per MW. These projects are due to start operations by end-2017. Canadian Solar already has a solar project pipeline of 110 MW (AC) apart from the these projects.
