Thailand-based Prime Road Group and US-based thin-film solar PV panel manufacturer First Solar have completed four solar farms totalling 18 MW (DC) of capacity in Thailand’s Ayutthaya and Pathum Thani provinces. The project consists of more than 158,500 thin-film PV modules, which will produce approximately 29,600 MWh of electricity in the first year of operation. Bouygues-Thai Limited, a subsidiary of the French Bouygues Group, was the EPC contractor for the project. The electricity generated will be sold via a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Provincial Electricity Authority, Thailand, at the rate of THB 5.66 per kWh.
