Germany-based wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has received two contracts aggregating 148 MW from Argentina-based utility Central Puerto for the construction of wind farms in Argentina. The order includes the supply and installation of 32 and 15 units of AW 125/3000 turbines for the La Castellana and Achiras projects respectively. The construction is likely to be completed by February 2018. In another development, the company received a 66 MW order from the Spanish project developer Acciona Energia for the construction of the first phase of the Mount Gellibrand wind farm located in western Victoria, Australia. The order includes the supply of 22 units of AW125/3000 turbines for the 66 MW project. Nordex will be installing these turbines on 87.5 metre tubular steel towers, which will be built in Victoria. The wind farm is likely to be operational by 2018, after which Nordex will service the turbines for an initial period of two years.
