MPERC responds to Madhya Pradesh Biomass Energy Developers Association’s petition

In response to a petition filed by the Madhya Pradesh Biomass Energy Developers Association, the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission has clarified that Regulation 10 of the MPERC (Cogeneration and Generation of Electricity from Renewable Sources of Energy) (Revision-I) Regulations, 2010 will be applicable in the event of the petitioner drawing power during the plant’s shutdown or other emergencies. The commission further clarified that the power required either for start-up or synchronisation with the grid will be billed as per tariff schedule HV-7 and power required during shutdown/breakdown or other emergency will be billed according to the aforementioned regulations.
