Japan-based power company JERA, a JV between Tokyo Electric Power and Chubu Electric Power, has acquired a 10 per cent stake in ReNew Power Ventures for $200 million. With this latest round of investment, the valuation of ReNew Power has reached at $2 billion. The deal has also marked the entry of Japanese investors in the Indian renewable energy market.
