Vestas to supply seven units of V112

South Korea-based wind energy developer GS Yeongyang Windpower has awarded a contract to Denmark-based turbine manufacturer Vestas for the supply of seven units of V112 turbines  of 3.45 MW capacity each. The turbines will be installed under the second phase of the developer’s wind farm in the eastern part of the country, that is scheduled to be commissioned by end-2017. The order also includes a 10-year service contract along with online monitoring and preventive maintenance. Under the first phase, 60 MW of Vestas V112 turbines were installed, each with a capacity of 3.3 MW. This phase was commissioned in 2015.
