Suzlon to raise Rs 8 billion in private equity investments

Suzlon Energy is reportedly planning to raise Rs 8 billion from private equity investors, Asia Climate Partners and Olympus Capital Asia, to create an independent renewable energy platform. Talks are reportedly at an advanced stage and the transaction is expected to be closed soon. Suzlon will use this platform to invest in and acquire new renewable energy projects. The company is targeting to bring 500-1,000 MW of assets on the platform.
