Suzlon has received an order from Hyderabad-based Axis Energy to supply and install 105 MW of wind turbines at a project site being developed by the latter. The project is located in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. As per the contract, Suzlon will supply 50 units of its S111 90 metre tubular tower wind turbines with a rated capacity of 2.1 MW. Suzlon will also be responsible for the O&M and lifecycle asset management for 10 years. The project will be commissioned in two phases, in March 2017 and June 2017. It has the potential to power over 50,000 households and reduce 0.22 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per annum.
