Results of SECI’s 100 MW PV tender in Ananthapuramu solar park declared

The SECI has declared the results of its 100 MW solar photovoltaic  (pv) tender for Andhra Pradesh. Adani Power and Azure Power have won 50 MW of capacity each in the auction for projects to be set up in the Ananthapuramu solar park under the domestic content requirement (DCR) category of the National Solar Mission. Adani’s winning bid involved a VGF of $187,094, while Azure Power quoted a VGF of $191,513. The tariff for both tranches of projects is Rs 4.43 per kWh ($0.065 per kWh). Both Adani and Azure will develop the projects on a build-own-operate basis for SECI, which has signed a 25-year fixed power purchase agreement for this capacity. The entire capacity is expected to be commissioned in 2017.
