Regulation 11 of REC amended to fix new rate of issuance of certificates

In a recent amendment to Regulation 11 of the renewable energy certificate (REC) regulations, the CERC has determined the fees and charges payable by the eligible entities for participation in the scheme, registration, eligibility of certificates, issuance of certificates and other related matters. As per the amendement, the fee for the issuance of certificates for the period from April 22, 2013 till the date of issuance of the next order by the commission has been determined at Rs 10 per certificate; for the period from April 1, 2015 till the date of issuance of the next order by the commission has to be regularised at Rs 4 per certificate; and for the period from January 1, 2017 until further orders has been determined as Rs 2 per certificate.
