Hero Future Energies gets an investment of $125 million from IFC

Hero Future Energies has raised $125 million in equity infusion from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector investment arm of the World Bank, and the IFC Global Infrastructure Fund. The proceeds from the transaction will be used by Hero Future to fund the construction of solar and wind power plants. EY was the transaction advisor to Hero Future for the deal. The company currently has an operating capacity of 360 MW and has a project pipeline of 1.4 GW. It plans to reach 1.1 GW of cumulative operating capacity by June 2017 and 2.7 GW by 2020.
