BHEL bags orders worth Rs 960 million from Powergrid for 3 EHV substations in Karnataka

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has received orders worth Rs 960 million from Powergrid for augmenting three extra high voltage substations in Karnataka on a turnkey basis. As per the contract, BHEL will augment the 400/220 kV substation at Tumkur (Pavagada), the 400 kV substation at Mysusru and the 400/220 kV substation at Tumkur (Vasanth Narasapur). These substations are linked with the transmission system being set up for the evacuation of power from the ultra mega solar power parks being developed in the state.
